Description |
Caption: "'Welcome to Sunnimoor' says Secretary Bill to Dr. Mishima and other smiling guests as the first load of distinguished conferees arrives at the farm." On September 29, 1951, William H. Eisenman and his wife, Mill, hosted conferees of the first World Metallurgical Congress to a re-enactment of early Native American events on Sunnimoor Farm. Sunnimoor Farm was William Eisenman's summer home located on his property in Novelty, Ohio. In 1958, ASM bought 400 acres of Eisenman's property, including that which housed Sunnimoor Farm, as a possible sight for their new headquarters, Materials Park. Materials Park now resides on 45 acres of land. The remaining acreage was sold to the Geauga Park District. |
