Caption: "'Three good Indians' -- Chief Sunnimoor adopts B. Nevatia and V. D Talwar, conferees from India, into their tribe. This tribal ceremony made all overseas conferees "brothers" in the ancient Sunnimoor tribe." On September 29, 1951, William H. Eisenman and his wife, Mill, hosted conferees of the first World Metallurgical Congress to a re-enactment of early Native American events on Sunnimoor Farm. Sunnimoor Farm was William Eisenman's summer home located on his property in Novelty, Ohio. In 1958, ASM bought 400 acres of Eisenman's property, including that which housed Sunnimoor Farm, as a possible sight for their new headquarters, Materials Park. Materials Park now resides on 45 acres of land. The remaining acreage was sold to the Geauga Park District. |
