"The jungle of sleigh bells and the barks of huskies heralded the hit presentation of Harry Reser (center front row) and the Cliquot Club Eskimos during the first ten years of NBC's career. John S. Young, prominent announcer of radio's early days is in rear, center. Early radio listeners willr eadily recall the NBC network broadcasts of the Cliquot Club Eskimos, who operated on the air from 1925 to 1936. Standing, right, is Fred Wilson, one-time Broadway tenor, who appeared as a member of the group. Fred, a native of Mansfield, O., is still a radio producer at WTAM." - photo verso |
