Description"Ground for new church was broken yesterday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garfield Heights. The Rev. H.W. Riedel takes the first shovelful of dirt as the pastor emeritus, the Rev. H. C. Weidner, stands in the background with the church choir. A new church and fellowship hall will rise on the site of the familiar white frame church on the corner of Turney and Granger Rds. as soon as the present church is torn down." -- photo verso.
