During the construction of the Northwest Freeway a 30 inch main interceptor sewage line was installed to serve southwest Lakewood and part of West Park. It was considered more practical and economical to run the system over Interstate 90 than to reroute it under the lower highway. Image shows work along Riverside Dr., north of Hilliard Rd.
