Description"14710 Lake Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. Much activity centered around the kitchen fireplace in a pioneer home. It was often the main source of heat and light and the aroma from steaming kettles attracted young and old alike. Here the family gathered to talk over problems of the day, to sew or to read. Built in 1838 this house has been faithfully restored and is open to the public each Wednesday and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. except during December and January. It is maintained by the Lakewood Historical Society." -- card verso.
