Beginning as a gunfire exchange between Cleveland Police officers and radical militant group leader Fred (Ahmed) Evans, the shooting erupted into an all out riot as angry crowds gathered resulting in further gunfire leaving seven dead and fifteen wounded. Over the next several days tensions grew as rioting, looting and arson prevailed. The National Guard was called in and by July 28th. order was restored.
