DescriptionCleveland City Hall at Superior and E. 3rd St., around 1880. According to the book by Wm. Payne, "Cleveland Illustrated: a pictorial hand-book of the Forest City" City Hall was built in February 1875 by Leonard Case on the corner of Superior and Wood Streets. Its cost is estimated at $800,000. The city of Cleveland leased the building for 25 years for a cost of $36,000 annually.
