Description"Fighting a 60-mile breeze, Jerry Wessling of Toldeo, O., slipped his way earthward, guiding his descent by jerking the chute stays, and is shown landing just outside the circle, 61 feet from the center, in a contest at the National Air Races, Los Angeles, July 2nd, in which a dozen parachute jumpers left their ships simultaneously in an effort to land nearest the center of the circle in midfield" -- photo caption.
