Description"Tree Greets Yule Shoppers: Shoppers at Sterling Lindner's were greeted today by a 73-foot Christmas tree, a traditional store display which has become one of the symbols of the opening of the holiday shopping season. The tree is the tallest in the 39 years the store has had the display. It is decorated with more than 2500 ornaments and requires 25 gallons of water a day. The store at E. 13th St. and Euclid Ave. estimates that a half million persons with come to see it." -- photo verso
