"Nearly finished is the new $5000 asphalt paved parking lot at Rocky River Public Library, Riverview Dr. and Hampton Rd. The expanded lot will accommodate 45 cars, be entered from the north and exited from the south near the junior high tennis courts. Thirteen of the library's famed trees had to be removed by volunteer city crews for the lot. Paving was by the Horvitz Co. Contributions to pay the cost of the project are now being accepted by the library or at the safety-service director's office in the city hall." -- photo verso.
