"Garden for Victory: In Recognition of . . . . patriotic service by encouraging the planting of company and individual victory gardens, 1943; Awarded by the National Victory Garden Institute"--engraving on plaque. "The Victory Garden Institute plaque awarded to organizations which have done an outstanding job in the Victory Garden Program. The plaque measures 10"x 16" and has a handsome bronze finish. Those companies which received this plaque in 1943 will receive an attachment (not a new plaque) bearing the organization name and 1944 date. this plaque is the highest award presented by the Institute.
