First graders' first day of school at the new Bassett Elementary School in Westlake. This is the first grade room of Mrs. Virginia Royer. The building has seven teaching stations but has been designed so that future additions will triple its size and potential enrollment. Construction costs are the last funds from a 1963 bond issue.
