AccomplishmentsJosephine Irwin was active in the peace movement before World War I and was one of the first members of the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Cleveland, participating in a suffrage parade on Euclid Avenue in 1914. She supported the Equal Rights Amendment and she founded Womenspace. Irwin was also the first woman councilman-at-large in Fairview Park.
